PLEASE WELCOME ROBIN TO BOOKHOUNDS ya
1. Do you have a secret talent?
I don’t know if it’s much of a secret, but I have double-jointed thumbs. Does that even quality as a talent, though? I feel like if I had a really good talent, I wouldn’t keep it a secret. I’d be shouting “HAVE YOU SEEN ME JUGGLE?” at everyone I met, so it’s probably good that I don’t have an impressive talent. People would feel threatened.
2. Is there a song that really reminds you of your book?
I obsessively listened to Ellie Goulding’s “Halcyon” while writing “Going Rogue” and the song “Dead in the Water” directly inspired a major scene that I hadn’t planned on writing. I can’t tell you what it is, though! (Although, spoiler alert: no one is actually dead in the water in this book.)
3. What was the easiest thing about writing this book?
This was the first sequel I’ve ever written, so getting to return to the same characters after a year was just an absolute joy. It was like going back to summer camp and seeing old friends again. I was so surprised at how they had changed and stayed the same at the same time, and I loved being able to write Roux’s dialogue once more. She always makes me laugh.
4. Is there a word you love to use?
I overuse the words amazing, awesome, ridiculous, and shenanigans to an alarming degree. I ‘m totally the cliché girl who says “That’s a-MAY-zing!” about every little thing. I need a thesaurus.
5. Any real or imaginary pets?
Yes! I have a shih tzu named Hudson, who is currently the star of my Twitter feed. He loves to take naps, snore, and wipe his face on the carpet. He’s the best and I adore him.
When I was younger, I had an imaginary dog named Pepper that I used to pretend to walk around the neighborhood on a leash, so I can safely say that having a real dog is much better.

I really enjoyed Also Know As! I got Lorde's album for Christmas, and am really impressed with the hole package! And they're playing Ellie Goulding's Burn on the radio a lot right now. We have very eclectic music tastes around here...guess that matches my eclectic reading tastes too! Thanks for the chance to win!
