Ivan & Aloysha, Mumford & Sons, The Civil Wars, The Fossil Collective, and Ryan Star (his music seems to fit my book for some strange reason). 1. What is the first book you remember reading by yourself as a child?



Most definitely Cinderella. I would sit cross-legged with the book in front of me and run my finger across the words. Each page was exquisite and I would daydream about it before I could even turn to the next page. I loved the idea of making a carriage out of a pumpkin. For years as a child, I tried unsuccessfully to turn the pumpkins in my parent’s garden to a carriage!



2. What are you reading right now?



I am reading The Element Encyclopedia of Native Americans by Adele Nozedar. Funny answer I know. My friend and mentor, Jesse Freeman, gave it to me as a gift. I am busy with book two of my series The Spirit Warriors and I strive to make every aspect of the Native American world reputable and real in my books.



3. How does your garden grow?



Well let’s just say I still can’t turn pumpkins into carriages. I seem to be able to grow herbs and that is about it. Although this summer I did grow a bumper crop of okra! I spent most of my time trying to keep my daughter’s cat and my two dogs, a dachshund and a chihuahua out of it.



4. What is the last thing you Googled?



I had to look in my Google history. I am almost embarrassed to admit this since my friends say I am a Starbucks addict. It was Starbucks. I was trying to figure out how to load a gift card onto my precious gold card. Okay, now I am totally embarrassed. I need to get a life!



5. What makes you cringe?



Rude people! I cringe every time I hear someone being rude to another person, or when someone is rude to me. I really detest people being rude to others in the service industry. Just because they are waiting on you, it doesn’t mean you are better than they are! Good grief. Let’s all live by the Golden Rule. I’m off my soapbox now. J
