Book Description
Seventeen-year-old Julien is a romantic -- he loves spending his free time at the museum poring over the great works of the Impressionists. But one night, a peach falls out of a Cezanne, Degas ballerinas dance across the floor, and Julien is not hallucinating.
The art is reacting to a curse that trapped a beautiful girl, Clio, in a painting forever. Julien has a chance to free Clio and he can't help but fall in love with her. But love is a curse in its own right. And soon paintings begin to bleed and disappear. Together Julien and Clio must save the world's greatest art . . . at the expense of the greatest love they've ever known.
Like a master painter herself, Daisy Whitney brings inordinate talent and ingenuity to this romantic, suspenseful, and sophisticated new novel.A beautifully decorated package makes it a must-own in print.

1. Do you have a secret talent?
I can knit a silk tie. I have very strong calves. I can peel a banana with my toes. Only one of these is true.
2. Is there a song that really reminds you of your book?
More than Words by Extreme. It’s one of my favorite love songs and goes on the playlist for every book I write. Also, nearly anything from the Broadway soundtrack of Les Mis! All those songs about Paris were playing in my earbuds while I wrote Starry Nights!
3. What was the easiest thing about writing this book?
The easiest part was imagining being inside the paintings. In many ways, I believe in the magic of art and I can “see” how paintings might come to life. Picturing what each painting might be up to in the wee hours of the night was so fun for me.
4. Is there a word you love to use?
My familiar. As in, “My chihuahua is my familiar.”
5. Any real or imaginary pets?
Why yes! I have a chihuahua-mini pin, a lab-border collie and two cats.

I heard about this book 5 years ago and have been literally salivating, waiting to get my grabby hands on this one. Thank you very much for the interview and giveaway, I did not know about Daisy's obsession of MORE THAN WORDS by Extreme. Interesting, and a haunting love song at that. Given the book, I think this does not bode well for the characters, but I know Daisy is great at writing love stories that overcome difficulties, so I've got my fingers crossed. Here's hoping I get a chance to read and review this book.
