About the Author
James Patterson is the author of the highly praised Maximum Ride novels and of bestselling detective series featuring Alex Cross and the Women's Murder Club. His novels have sold more than 140 million copies worldwide. He lives in Florida.

If you haven't tried a graphic novel before, this series is a good place to start.  The stories are really an offshoot of the book series and I have found myself getting more out of the pictures than any descriptive terms I can read.  I checked these out from my library. They have a huge selection of manga books there.  I just wait until there are no kids around though since i usually get strange looks.
