The new Carrie Bradshaw...
I expect all kinds of goodness for the YA version of Sex and the City. Set in the 80's, the has to be all kinds of wonderful music that will be sure to make the teens cringe when we start singing along.
Here is a bit from the Huffington Post:
he CW has finally found its Carrie Bradshaw, the role originally made famous by Sarah Jessica Parker in the HBO hit "Sex and the City."
After months of speculation, the lucky actress playing Bradshaw in the CW prequel, "The Carrie Diaries," is AnnaSophia Robb, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Robb, 18, is perhaps best known for her role in 2007's "Bridge to Terabithia."
Based on the novel by Candace Bushnell, "The Carrie Diaries" focuses on a young Carrie Bradshaw -- before the Manolo Blahniks -- as she grows up in a small town during the 1980s, learning about love, sex, friendship and family while still balancing the day-to-day drama of high school.
"Running Wilde" actress Stefania Owen will co-star opposite Robb. According to EW, Owen will play Carrie's younger sister, Dorrit.
YAY! That is exciting news. :) I love SACT and I've read the first book in The Carrie Diaries... I need to read Summer in the City.
