Sign Ups Now Open! BOOKS TO MOVIES GIVEAWAY HOP!

Announcing the Books to Movies Giveaway Hop
August 27th to September 3rd
&
Me!

This hop features books that have been made into movies or TV shows.
Some blogs will be giving away the book, some the movie & others both!

Since Kathy over at I am a reader is taking a break this summer, I am going to host a few of her  normal hops.
I am following her guidelines HERE
Giveaway Hops
What is a giveaway hop?
Simple – Each participating blog hosts a giveaway and then we link up together allowing our followers to hop easily from one giveaway to another.
For followers that means lots of chances to win free books.
For host blogs it means lots of new visitors and followers.
It’s a win-win.
Of course if you host a giveaway on your blog you can also enter all the giveaways on the other blogs.

BOOKS TO MOVIES The Wind in the Williow by Kenneth Grahame

    Book Description

    March 1, 2012  1904919510  978-1904919513
The Wind in the Willows belongs to the classic age of children's classic novels. The charming, exciting, and humorous tales of the riverbank, featuring Ratty, Mole, Badger, and the conceited but irrepressible Toad of Toad Hall, whose passion for motorcars lands him in many scrapes still continue to exert their charm over grown-ups as well as children.

This promises to be an excellent movie with Ricky Gervais voicing mole!  I think it looks wonderful and I am such a sucker for animation movies like these.

BOOKS TO MOVIES - The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists by Gideon DeFoe

    From Publisher's Weekly

    THE PIRATES!
    BAND OF MISFITS
Voices of Hugh Grant, Salma Hayek, Jeremy Piven
Directed by Peter Lord and Jeff Newitt
Release date March 30 (Columbia Pictures)
Tie-in from Vintage Books: The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists by Gideon DeFoe
Claymation strikes again, from the director who brought us Chicken Run and Wallace and Gromit. In addition to the above trio, other notable actors lending their voices include Imelda Staunton, Brendan Gleeson, Brian Blessed, and Lenny Henry. Author DeFoe—not to be confused with Daniel—wrote the screenplay.

I ADORE claymation and especially loved Wallace and Gromit, so I am really looking forward to this one!

BOOKS TO MOVIES The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chobsky

I loved this book and have high hopes for this adaptation.  I think Emma Watson will be stellar!  So far it has an R rating and no release date scheduled

    From Next Movie

Attached: Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, Mae Whitman
Status: "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" was originally published by MTV, but it's the three-headed monster of Touchstone, DreamWorks and Summit that is bringing Stephen Chobsky's teen novel to the big screen. One of the most controversial books in recent memory, "Wallflower" tells the story of a high school kid (Logan Lerman, who previously headlined the adaptation of "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief) who comes out of his shell thanks to friendship, books, sex, drugs and rock & roll -- only without the rock & roll. Emma Watson has also signed on for one of her first big post-"Harry Potter" roles. Should be interesting.
    Release Date/Year: 2012
