BOOKS TO MOVIES -- The Host by Stephanie Meyer
This won't be released until March 2013, and I can only hope that the movie does the book justice. I didn't really care for the Twilight books, but I ADORED The Host. It was creepy and full of page turning goodness. Yes, it is an adult book, but I think it is perfect for older teens. If you have read the book, the trailer makes perfect sense. If you haven't -- well it should make you a bit curious.

I loved the Twilight books. I thought The Host was just okay. It's kind of funny how subjective writing is.
ReplyDeleteI really liked Host as well, more than Twilight (just because by the time I got to the third book I was already exhausted with the series.)
ReplyDeleteI can't say I remember too much about the story though since it has been a few years...but I remmeber being hooked until the wee hours of the morning (or maybe that was just because my friend lent me her copy and I didn't want to keep her waiting)
LOL! I'm the same way! I loved the Host. But I had no desire and still don't to read or watch the Twilight books/movies. Hope they do the story well. I can't wait for the book sequel.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the trailer!
I haven't read the Host because I'd heard negatives about it. The trailer makes the movie look ubber cool though.
ReplyDelete*insert long paragraph about Twilight*
ReplyDeleteThe trailer was rather underwhelming, but I I really enjoyed The Host when I read it for the first time or three. *grin* So, we'll see!
Never considered the book "Adult" though. Yeah, there are Adult protagonists, but not every novel featuring teenagers is YA, either, and just because Meyer said it's supposed to be Adult.. I don't know. :/
